For sale: first Sigma to ever arrive in Australia, former factory test car!

If you love Sigmas, this is the holy grail, the unicorn version of our beloved car. A 1976 Mitsubishi Galant Sigma that was imported from Japan by Chrysler Australia (that later became Mitsubishi Australia) so they could test the car locally and later on in 1978 start selling them here as a Chrysler Sigma.

So this means this was the very first Sigma in Australia!

After this car had performed all it's testing duties, it was sold to a factory worker who then converted the car to be a rally car and has been racing it ever since.

This car is not street registered, but can still be raced on classic rally races.

It's engine is a highly modified Astron 2.6 with twin Weber carburettors and full roll cage. Here's the link to the original Gumtree Ad (while it's still up for sale): http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/salisbury-east/cars-vans-utes/1976-mitsubishi-sigma-sedan/1043618201
