Ballarat Swap Meet 2012

This saturday the 25-02-2012 I woke up at 5am to get ready to visit the 2012 Ballarat swap meet, the biggest of it's kind on the southern hemisphere! So off I went wearing a lot of sun-block and a comfortable pair of shoes and got there at 6am, opening time, to try and beat the heat. Today was a maximum of nearly 38 degrees Celsius!
The event will still be on Sunday, but most of the good stuff will have been sold already and a lot of the sellers will leave early to try and beat the forcasted storm that should hit Ballarat Sunday night. All in all it was a great event. I've been going to this swap meet for the last 4 years and this year was for sure the biggest! There were even mobile ATMs and everything was highly planned and organized.
So this time around I managed to only pick up a couple of bargains. First off, a mint condition 1978 Chrysler Sigma catalogue/brochure...
... and also a engine coolant bypass pipe in almost new condition! These seem to always rust after 20 or so years of use, so to have one in this condition means I'll be able to enjoy my Sigma for many decades to come!

  1. Two great favourites of mine - Ballarat and Sigmas.
Must try for next year's meet.
(Ex RAAF Radio School, and Siggy around Aus - including 'The Tip'.!)
    Cheers Laurie.
